Bouygues Construction's Moroccan subsidiary, Bymaro, has been awarded a 450 million euros ($488.2 million) contract to build the Mohammed VI International University Hospital in Rabat. This project reinforces Bymaro's significant role in Morocco’s healthcare construction sector. The hospital will feature four six-story buildings and a 25-story tower, covering an area of over 275,000 square meters. It will provide five hundred fifty-three beds, twenty operating theaters, and extensive educational facilities, including lecture theaters and practical workrooms.

Designed by AIA Architecture, the hospital aims to align with national and regional healthcare policies and achieve Exceptional HQE certification for sustainability. It will include 8,800 square meters of photovoltaic panels to meet over 10 percent of its energy needs and significantly reduce carbon emissions. The project will engage 3,500 workers and subcontractors at peak times and is expected to be completed by September 2025. This is Bymaro’s third healthcare infrastructure project in Morocco in the past five years.
